SAILING EXPERIENCE

Seven Atlantic crossings

Mediterranean – Caribbean – Florida  – Bermuda

Eastern USA – Panama Canal – Cocos – Galapagos

Society Islands Polynesia – Tuo Motus – Gambiers – Pitcairn

Tahiti – Hawaii

Vanuatu – Eastern Australia

Sea of Cortez – Pacific Coast Mexico

I have many sailing miles experience over the last twenty five years.

I have cooked, provisioned and stood watches for seven Atlantic crossings and many Pacific deliveries on sailing yachts 50ft to 130 ft. I have served also as chef/mate on private and heavily booked charter yachts or that size range in the Caribbean, Mediterranean and Pacific, working on a freelance basis. I also owned and single handed a 40’ sailboat.

MY OBJECTIVE

To crew for the winter seasons and to spend summers at my home in Southern Utah where I operate a small, seasonal business. I am a freelance crew willing to work up to 6 months on a sailing vessel between October and April. Ideally, I would favor an ongoing relationship with a boat.

MY INTERESTS

I enjoy a wide variety of hobbies including yoga, various watersports, horseback riding, hiking, backpacking, river rafting, canyoneering and permaculture methods.

I am also a musician; play guitar, write songs, sing and perform regularly in the summer season as well as recording in my home studio.

A BRIEF HISTORY

I was born in Malta and moved to Montana, USA at the age of 5. At the age of 8 my family and I moved to Switzerland where I was educated in a French Lycee, with English as a second language.

My first job after Hotel School was in the USVI where I discovered and began my lifelong love of sailing.

My love of food and its preparation flourished while living in Italy for a year.
